The different religions preach of an external God and thereby bear witness to a false God. Because you shall not bear a graven image or in other words externalize the God which is within you and your essence and so they give power to something outside of themselves. A false God.

When you do that you view external people and circumstances as causation but once you stop doing that it stops having power because you have changed it to the real God which is within you.

All of the people and circumstances can only reflect the activity of your own mind. They really possess no power unless you give it to them. If you have no other God it can only reflect and bear witness to who you are.

God is a protean being. He’s playing all the parts. Good, bad, indifferent. It’s up to you to choose which absolute your absolute shall reflect.

That's what absolute is. Absolute is everything.
